We specialize in luxury weddings, providing detailed service while helping our couples choose flowers that express their love story through intentional design and thoughtful communication. Every wedding I design is a collaboration- with my team of designers, the flower farm, and fellow wedding vendors, all working to create something special for our couples.

One of the most meaningful things I do is return to my childhood home and share with my children the magic that the rows upon rows of flowers bring. I love stealing away moments with a pair of clippers and bucket of water, picking an assortment of flowers to play with while testing new design ideas, vase life, and unusual color schemes.
I love to start new gardens and quickly get in over my head. Why do weeds grow faster than flowers? If the kids don’t keep me busy, the weeds are always volunteering.
I am most proud of my 5 beautiful, creative children. I had 5 kids in 5 1/2 years. They hang out in the studio while I design, can identify flowers better than their father, and each one as an infant has joined a flower delivery or two.
I design the best bouquets with a bar of chocolate and a touch of wine. Good bouquets should dance a bit, don’t you think?
Paula Rice is a professional cut flower farmer and florist providing intoxicating beauty to North Idaho (for Garden of Eden) for 15 years. She loves growing and playing with flowers and seeks ways to keep her passion alive and strong by finding solutions to the complexities of operating a growing and designing business in zone 4. It has been quite the education. When she’s not working the fields, you can find her walking the fields, eating raspberries, and wondering what she should make for dinner.

I have loved flowers since the time I wove daisies into flower chains. The one constant for me is creating beautiful pieces to mark the many important events in our lives. I consider the work I create at Garden of Eden the work of my heart.
I trained at South Seattle Floral Design Program and owned my own business for 20+ years, integrating art and floral design into my work as a mental health therapist.
